Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Master John Marriott on a grey horse, with his sister Annis and their dogs outside the Elms, Cropwell Butler by John Ferneley, Sen. was sold in the British & European Art auction at Christies in London in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,674.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver firs at Osberton in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,018,324.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Master John Marriott on a grey horse, with his sister Annis and their dogs outside the Elms, Cropwell Butler von John Ferneley, Sen. wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion British & European Art bei Christies in London versteigert.
