Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'A Favorite Hunter of H.DeBurgh Esqre of Drayton Hall near Uxbridge' by John Ferneley, Sen. was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 6,674.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver firs at Osberton in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,018,324.83).
