Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Huntsman and his hounds, said to be Charles, 3rd Baron of Southampton, Master of the Quorn Hunt, 1827-1881 by John Ferneley, Sen. was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,774.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Ferneley, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silver firs at Osberton in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,018,324.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Huntsman and his hounds, said to be Charles, 3rd Baron of Southampton, Master of the Quorn Hunt, 1827-1881 von John Ferneley, Sen. wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
