Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Guilty, or not Guilty' by John Faed was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2000. The price achieved of GBP 17,625.00 (€ 28,807.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Faed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boyhood, 1849 in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 237,650.00 (€ 346,961.50).
