Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by John Edward Heliker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. In the American Art Online auction, the work Spring Landscape with White Houses sold for USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,266.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Edward Heliker; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Edge Of The Orchard sold at auction in June 2001 with the realized price of USD 9,400.00 (€ 11,092.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Edward Heliker erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Spring Landscape with White Houses für USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.266,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Edward Heliker; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Edge Of The Orchard im Juni 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 9.400,00 (€ 11.092,75).
