In October 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Apple Tree by John Edward Heliker. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,979.27), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Edward Heliker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edge Of The Orchard in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 9,400.00 (€ 11,092.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Apple Tree von John Edward Heliker zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 1.979,27) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Edward Heliker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Edge Of The Orchard im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.400,00 (€ 11.092,75).
