Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Double Portrait by John Edward Heliker was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,508.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Edward Heliker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Edge Of The Orchard in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 9,400.00 (€ 11,092.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Double Portrait von John Edward Heliker wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.508,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
