Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scouting Party by John Edward Borein was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,556.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Edward Borein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mounted Cowboy, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.556,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Edward Borein mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mounted Cowboy beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.374,87) versteigert wurde.
