A top price for John Edward Borein - as previously expected
In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Mounted Cowboy by John Edward Borein. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mounted Cowboy is the most expensive artwork by John Edward Borein that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mounted Cowboy von John Edward Borein zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.374,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Mounted Cowboy das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Edward Borein, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
