Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roping a Calf by John Edward Borein was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,607.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Edward Borein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mounted Cowboy in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roping a Calf von John Edward Borein kam im Januar 2024 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.607,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Edward Borein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mounted Cowboy im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.374,87).
