This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Edward Borein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mounted Cowboy, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,374.87).
