The work "Doug's Place III" by John-Erik Franzén was sold in the Contemporary auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2014. It achieved a price of SEK 5,000.00 (€ 548.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John-Erik Franzén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Sanningen om Texas Rose II" ( The Truth about Texas Rose II) in November 2012 with an auction result of SEK 720,000.00 (€ 83,068.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Doug's Place III" von John-Erik Franzén wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 5.000,00 (€ 548,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John-Erik Franzén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Sanningen om Texas Rose II" ( The Truth about Texas Rose II) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 720.000,00 (€ 83.068,41).
