In the Photographs auction, the work Portrait of Rosie and Christopher Barker, from the feature 'Bored Teenagers' for About Town magazine, Paddington Station, London, 1962 sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,673.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Deakin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elizabeth Smart, Writer, c.1952, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,254.10).
