In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of Lucy Dillman Engleheart, When A Girl by John Cox Dillman Engleheart. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,568.28), 48% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Cox Dillman Engleheart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The left eye of the artist's sister, Mary Cox Dillman Engleheart (1782-1845), later Mrs John Pyne, brown iris with curling lock of brown hair, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,805.05).

Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Lucy Dillman Engleheart, When A Girl von John Cox Dillman Engleheart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.568,28) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Cox Dillman Engleheart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The left eye of the artist's sister, Mary Cox Dillman Engleheart (1782-1845), later Mrs John Pyne, brown iris with curling lock of brown hair beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für GBP 5.736,00 (€ 8.805,05) versteigert wurde.
