Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III, which included the work Portrait Of A Young Lady, Traditionally Identified As Miss Slater by John Cox Dillman Engleheart. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,648.09). Other works by John Cox Dillman Engleheart have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,805.05) in December 2002 for the work The left eye of the artist's sister, Mary Cox Dillman Engleheart (1782-1845), later Mrs John Pyne, brown iris with curling lock of brown hair.

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Lady, Traditionally Identified As Miss Slater von John Cox Dillman Engleheart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.648,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von John Cox Dillman Engleheart haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.736,00 (€ 8.805,05) im Dezember 2002 für die Arbeit The left eye of the artist's sister, Mary Cox Dillman Engleheart (1782-1845), later Mrs John Pyne, brown iris with curling lock of brown hair beobachtet.
