However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Cox Dillman Engleheart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The left eye of the artist's sister, Mary Cox Dillman Engleheart (1782-1845), later Mrs John Pyne, brown iris with curling lock of brown hair, which sold at auction in December 2002 for GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,805.05).
