In the The Contents of Harrington House, Leamington Spa, auction, the work Portrait miniature of a Gentleman, quarter-length in scholars robes and a portrait of a lady, quarter-length, in a pink dress, sold for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,525.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Cox Dillman Engleheart; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The left eye of the artist's sister, Mary Cox Dillman Engleheart (1782-1845), later Mrs John Pyne, brown iris with curling lock of brown hair sold at auction in December 2002 with the realized price of GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,805.05).
