Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Part I, which included the work Helmingham Dell by John Constable. The price achieved of GBP 730,800.00 (€ 852,622.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Constable achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View on the Stour near Dedham, full-scale sketch in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 14,082,500.00 (€ 16,903,595.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Helmingham Dell von John Constable zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 730.800,00 (€ 852.622,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Constable erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View on the Stour near Dedham, full-scale sketch im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.082.500,00 (€ 16.903.595,45).
