The work East Bergholt Church, the south porch by John Constable was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. It achieved a price of GBP 44,400.00 (€ 53,021.49), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Constable achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View on the Stour near Dedham, full-scale sketch in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 14,082,500.00 (€ 16,903,595.45).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 44.400,00 (€ 53.021,49) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Constable erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View on the Stour near Dedham, full-scale sketch im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.082.500,00 (€ 16.903.595,45).
