The work Sketch Of George Yeats, Wife Of W. B. Yeats by John Butler Yeats was sold in the Yeats: The Family Collection auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 850.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self Portrait, New York in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,269.87).
