Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Spring landscape by John Bunyan Bristol. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,640.00 (€ 1,973.98). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Bunyan Bristol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape with Church, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,287.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring landscape von John Bunyan Bristol zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.640,00 (€ 1.973,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Bunyan Bristol mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape with Church beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.287,65) versteigert wurde.
