Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work A quiet river landscape by John Bunyan Bristol. The price achieved of USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,562.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Bunyan Bristol - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape with Church, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,287.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit A quiet river landscape von John Bunyan Bristol zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.200,00 (€ 3.562,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von John Bunyan Bristol mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape with Church beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.287,65) versteigert wurde.
