The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,561.21), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Bunyan Bristol; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape with Church sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,287.65).
