Admittedly, works by John Bentham-Dinsdale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.M.S. Crescent, under the command of Captain James Saumarez, capturing the French frigate Réunion off Cherbourg, 20 October 1793 in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,521.70).
