Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Finish For The Eclipse Stakes, Sandown Park; And A Horse And Groom In A Stable by John Beer was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 420.00 (€ 617.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Beer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miss Dollar Wins, Royal Handicap, Sandown Park; Freemason Wins, Sandown Park; Leaving the Paddock, Sandown Park; Parade, Sandown Park in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,369.93).

Als die Arbeit Finish For The Eclipse Stakes, Sandown Park; And A Horse And Groom In A Stable von John Beer im November 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
