Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Rape Of Helen by John Armstrong was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2014. It achieved a price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 43,730.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Armstrong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind', which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Rape Of Helen von John Armstrong kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 43.730,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 74.500,00 (€ 90.683,74) versteigert wurde.
