This artwork by John Armstrong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2012. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Homage to Seurat sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,937.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Armstrong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Armstrong erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Homage to Seurat für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.937,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 90.683,74).
