This artwork by John Anthony Park achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2021. In the British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists auction, the work Eventide, St. Ives sold for GBP 20,250.00 (€ 23,775.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Anthony Park; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot St Ives sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,216.59).
