Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work A ruined farmhouse in a wooded landscape, with a couple conversing by a well by Johannes Huibert Prins. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 812.50 (€ 942.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Huibert Prins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A capriccio of a church by a canal in April 2002 with an auction result of EUR 15,275.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master, 19th Century & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A ruined farmhouse in a wooded landscape, with a couple conversing by a well von Johannes Huibert Prins zur Versteigerung kam.
