In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Street Scene, With Figures By A Bridge Over A Canal by Johannes Huibert Prins. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,510.25), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Johannes Huibert Prins; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A capriccio of a church by a canal sold at auction in April 2002 with the realized price of EUR 15,275.00.

Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Street Scene, With Figures By A Bridge Over A Canal von Johannes Huibert Prins zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.510,25) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Johannes Huibert Prins; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A capriccio of a church by a canal im April 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 15.275,00.
