Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included the work Standing nude seen from behind by Johannes Hendrikus Moesman. The price achieved of EUR 1,314.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Hendrikus Moesman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Behoeftigen in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing nude seen from behind von Johannes Hendrikus Moesman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.314,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Hendrikus Moesman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Behoeftigen im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
