In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work Townspeople near the townhall of Gouda by Johannes Bosboom. The result of EUR 10,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Bosboom have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 84,250.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Townspeople near the townhall of Gouda von Johannes Bosboom zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Bosboom auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Portuguese Synagogue, Amsterdam im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 84.250,00.
