Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A male nude in a contemplative pose (recto); Study of a man (verso) by Henry Fuseli was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 125,000.00 (€ 115,805.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Fuseli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The incubus leaving two young women in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,510,000.00 (€ 3,038,434.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A male nude in a contemplative pose (recto); Study of a man (verso) von Henry Fuseli kam im Januar 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion.
