Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Study of one of the Quirinal Dioscuri by Henry Fuseli was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,925.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Fuseli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The incubus leaving two young women in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,510,000.00 (€ 3,038,434.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
