Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work Carnations, roses, jasmine, a tulip and other flowers in a sculpted bronze urn, with butterflies, dragonflies, a caterpillar, a beetle and a bee, on a ledge in a niche by Johann Baptist Drechsler. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,832.66), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Johann Baptist Drechsler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a gold sculpted urn with peaches and grapes on a stone ledge with butterflies, in a niche in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 142,476.02).

Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carnations, roses, jasmine, a tulip and other flowers in a sculpted bronze urn, with butterflies, dragonflies, a caterpillar, a beetle and a bee, on a ledge in a niche von Johann Baptist Drechsler zur Versteigerung kam.
