This work without title by Joel Shapiro was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 701,000.00 (€ 615,452.15). With this result, this work without title is even the most expensive work of art by Joel Shapiro that we have observed at auctions so far.
