Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Quick and the Dead, North Atlantic by Joe Duncan Gleason was sold in the California and Western Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 573.75 (€ 469.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Duncan Gleason achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Avalon Bay, Catalina from the West 16 x 20in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 25,075.00 (€ 22,735.52).
