Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Folkdans (Folk Dance) by Jockum Nordström was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,963.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jockum Nordström achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "The Four Cardinal Points" in November 2013 with an auction result of SEK 2,250,000.00 (€ 252,517.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Folkdans (Folk Dance) von Jockum Nordström wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.963,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jockum Nordström erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "The Four Cardinal Points" im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 2.250.000,00 (€ 252.517,27).
