Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pawn Broker by Jockum Nordström was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,416.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jockum Nordström achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "The Four Cardinal Points" in November 2013 with an auction result of SEK 2,250,000.00 (€ 252,517.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pawn Broker von Jockum Nordström kam im August 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.416,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jockum Nordström erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "The Four Cardinal Points" im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 2.250.000,00 (€ 252.517,27).
