The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,230,000.00 (€ 1,089,749.27), 37% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joaquín Torres-García - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Construcción En Blanco, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 3,380,000.00 (€ 3,031,662.03).
