Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish las Zorreras. Sierra De Guadarrama by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,261.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish pescadores Valencianos (Valencian Fishermen) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,603,912.82).

Die Arbeit Spanish las Zorreras. Sierra De Guadarrama von Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.261,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spanish pescadores Valencianos (Valencian Fishermen) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.603.912,82).
