Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Jardín De Los Adarves, Alhambra, Granada by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida. The result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish pescadores Valencianos (Valencian Fishermen) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,737,250.00 (€ 4,603,912.82).

Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jardín De Los Adarves, Alhambra, Granada von Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spanish pescadores Valencianos (Valencian Fishermen) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.737.250,00 (€ 4.603.912,82).
