In November 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Marina by Joaquín Clausell. The price achieved of USD 89,625.00 (€ 90,238.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Other works by Joaquín Clausell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2017 the work Bosque was auctioned for USD 212,500.00 (€ 178,601.45).
