This artwork by Joan Miró achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2018. In the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction, the work Painting sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,713.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joan Miró erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Painting für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.713,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Miró erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peinture (Étoile Bleue) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.561.250,00 (€ 29.174.436,97).
