A top price for Joan Brown - as previously expected
The work Untitled (Portrait of Jay de Feo) by Joan Brown was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2005. The price achieved of USD 78,000.00 (€ 66,157.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Portrait of Jay de Feo) is the most expensive artwork by Joan Brown that we have observed at auctions so far.
