Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Plum Blossoms by Jin Nong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 380,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 42,206.39). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jin Nong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Qi Script in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 7,520,000.00 (€ 878,536.50).
