Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Plants by Jin Nong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 3,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jin Nong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Qi Script, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 7,520,000.00 (€ 878,536.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Plants von Jin Nong wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 3.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jin Nong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Qi Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 7.520.000,00 (€ 878.536,50) versteigert wurde.
