In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Peony by Jin Nong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 562,500.00 (€ 60,561.65), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jin Nong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Qi Script in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 7,520,000.00 (€ 878,536.50).
