This artwork by Jin Nong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Ink Bamboos sold for HKD 1,025,000.00 (€ 115,416.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jin Nong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Qi Script in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 7,520,000.00 (€ 878,536.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jin Nong erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Ink Bamboos für HKD 1.025.000,00 (€ 115.416,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jin Nong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Qi Script im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.520.000,00 (€ 878.536,50).
