Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Flowers by Jin Nong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 232,822.32). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jin Nong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Qi Script, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 7,520,000.00 (€ 878,536.50).
